| Description | Well-known guitar-shaped vase in cobalt blue with a relief that resembles the rough bark of a tree.
The glass objects by Lars Hellsten are often inspired by nature, including these “bark” vases. These vases owe their name to the whimsical relief in the glass, which looks a lot like tree bark. Lars Hellsten , born 1933, is a Swedish glass artist . Hellsten was a designer at Skrufs glassworks from 1964 to 1972 and from 1972 at Orrefors glassworks . He has made several public embellishments, including for hotels and hospitals. Hellsten is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm. |
