Matte blue-grey cloudy glaze ceramic vase. 3 horizontal solid-coloured bands. Naive decor of trees. Very small chip at bottom. Not visible with ‘standing’ vase. Royal Boch Royal Boch is a Walloon pottery manufacture , probably the best known on Belgian soil. The association was founded in 1841 and grew into Villeroy & Boch. Artistic value Old pieces in art deco , art nouveau and Jugendstil are highly sought after by collectors because of their fine quality. In 1999, the Catteau Collection , a collection of eight hundred vases, was donated to the King Baudouin Foundation . This collection consists for a large part of vases from the Manufacture Boch. |
